I know that spring is finally upon us and we all want to clean out those unmentionable drawers, closets and cupboards. Being such avid and conscientious recyclers we want to put it out for earth first to cart away. Yes, I want you to recycle all of that paper and glass and cardboard, but we are going to have to have some guidelines.

Two problems exist when you put all of those spring cleaning items out at once. First, my truck is only so big, and remember that if I’m picking up your recyclables today chances are there are many more to come after you. Second, due to the fact that we have so many to pick up in a day I cannot spend a lot of time in one place. So if you are going to put out "a lot" (more than usual) of items please spread it out over two or three weeks. I promise I will get to all of it eventually.

I want to be able to give good service to all of you, but to do that I sometimes need your help. So to all of you spring cleaners out there please… have a heart!
